Symphony of the Stars: The Show
11 Feb 2023
Symphony of the Stars was the largest and most impactful event Project Hope has executed, a culmination of 5 months of hard work and preparation from the performers and team members. The show was a musical cum concert, with segments of the show dedicated to a narrative following Mingyu, a child who contracted cancer, on her inspirational path to recovery, and different performances of song and dance by our talented performers being interjected between these segments. We had in total 12 performance acts, including the one and only Benjamin Kheng gracing us with his singing.
The production was held at the SOTA concert hall on the 11th of February 2023, garnering over 600 attendees, whom we hoped not only had a good time, but also were inspired that there is always hope even in their darkest moments, and life itself is worth persevering on and living for - our main message of the concert
Special Thanks to all the performers and crew members who made this production possible, and we hope all audience members has a wonderful and eye-opening experience!

Chasing Stars: The Race Around Singapore
22 August 2022
For the biggest event we have held so far, we wanted to come up with innovative and creative initiatives to attract participants mainly from our age groups. As such, we came up with Chasing Stars: A race around Singapore where participants in groups of 3 or 4 had to complete various checkpoints situated around Singapore in order to complete the race.
Examples of stations included building a 1 meter sandcastle at Siloso Beach, and counting the number of stairs on the way up to Faber peak. Finishing teams were treated to refreshments and photo opportunities at a photo studio.

2022 Merch Sale
August 2022
In an effort to raise more funds for Make-A-Wish Singapore, we decided to hold another online merchandise sale. We sold trendy items such as bracelets, anime keychains, BTS light-up pins and friendship bracelets handmade by our volunteer to give it that little bit of a personal touch.
Overall, this merchandise did quite well, as we sold out most of our stock and raised a sizeable amount for Make-A-Wish Singapore

All proceeds went to Make-A-Wish Singapore
2022 Official T shirt
August 2022
We wanted to instill a sense of cohesion among our volunteers and followers during Project Events. As such, we decided to come up with a fresh design for the 2022 official T shirt, with the goal of selling the T shirts to raise funds for Make-A-Wish Singapore, and simultaneously giving our followers and volunteers something they could wear to represent they were from Project Hope.
See right for the designs of the shirt.

Online quiz
July 2022
In order to raise awareness for the cause and what we stand for, we held a week-long online quiz on our Instagram page, whereby the public could click into the quiz and input their answers to 10 different short questions. These questions contained trivia relating to Project Hope and Make-A-Wish Singapore

To encourage participation, we gave the top 3 winners with the highest marks attractive prizes, namely Starbucks Gift vouchers and Muji Notebooks!

Astra in the Skies
May 2022
In an effort to connect and create a direct impact on our beneficiaries, we held an afternoon of activities and games for the wish children (beneficiaries from Make-A-Wish Singapore) We had over 30 children participate, following the story of a spaceship having to overcome the different obstacles (representing the games) In order to reach the final destination
We found the experience extremely meaningful, as this gave us an opportunity to interact and connect with the children we are helping, allowing us to directly spark joy in their lives. Seeing the laughter and fun they had definitely put a smile on our faces.

Concert Lucerna
January 2022
In an effort to help raise awareness for the cause, we decided and organise an online concert featuring diverse performances on the 14th of January. From recruiting performers to filming scenes for the concert, and finally editing to concert video, the journey has definitely been an arduous and long one. Seeing the concert as a success (having over 500 views as of now), it is definitely satisfying and heartening to see our hard work paying off.
Through song and dance, we hoped we had touched the lives of a few of these wish children. The promotional videos and finale also served the purpose of raising awareness of the plight that these children go through, having to carry the burden of their illnesses everyday. Viewers had an option of donating to Make-A-Wish foundation by scanning a QR code displayed, and we hope these donations go a long way in sparking hope in the lives of these children.

Hoodie Sale
December 2021
In an effort to raise funds for Make-A-Wish, we decided to hold a hoodie sale in December. From the designing of the hoodie to the logistics of the sales, we came up with creative ways to work around the restrictions due to COVID-19. The success of the sale attests to the burning passion we share towards helping these children in need.
Each element of the hoodie holds symbolic value. The sakura branch on the hoodie symbolises rebirth, renewal and optimism for the future. This encourages Wish children to not let their situation limit them, and continue to dream no matter what stands in their way.

Teacher's Day Macaron Sale
September 2021
In an effort to show some gratitude towards our school teachers for their hard work, while raising awareness and funds for the cause, we decided to hold a Macaron Sale during teachers day. We worked with Annabella Patisserie to sell boxes of 6 Macarons each at an affordable price, as our target audience were secondary school students who were buying these Macarons as a gift for their teachers on Teacher's Day.
We hoped that through this initiative we were able to provide our peers with tokens of gratitude for our teachers, yet at the same time raise funds which would go a long way in helping Wish Children fulfil their wishes. Do look out for more sales like this in 2022!

Online Quiz
July 2020
July 2020 was the start of our month-long online quiz. The quiz was meant to increase the engagement we had with our Instagram followers by posting a series of trivia questions regarding the project on our social media platforms. Participants had to submit their answers and the top 3 scorers were all given a prize.
Overall, this initiative has been a success, with the quiz receiving more than 500 responses. We hope that we were able to maintain engagement with our online audience while raising awareness for the cause through the online quiz. Do follow our Instagram page for more quizzes and initiatives similar to this!

T-shirt Sale
October 2020
The Project Hope shirt was the first merchandise product of the project. We stuck to a minimalist concept, using our logo as the front shirt design, and leaving the back empty. These T-shirts were sold both online and physically in schools. Since this was the first time we were doing a sale, we had to spend quite a bit of time figuring out the logistics and workings behind the sale.
Overall, we felt this initiative to be successful, with a sizeable number of T-shirts sold. We will definitely be doing a lot more sales in time to come, so do make sure to follow our Instagram page for the latest updates!
